AN ABUSED MULE RESPONDS TO CLICKER TRAINING (TRAINING DEMO)

This video practically brings tears to my eyes, and you can see why the narrator, Karen Pryor, is one of my heroes.  She brought the world of science and clicker training to the world of dog training back in the early 90s, when everyone was still using choke chains and prong collars. 

This video shows the way clicker training patiently and lovingly coaxes a frightened, abused mule to trust its person and be willing to enter a scary situation (a shower stall). You can see the wheels turning in this poor animal's head.  He wants to do it, but he's scared.  Positive reinforcement gives him enough courage to trust.  THIS is inspiring and it aligns with the respect and compassion with which I want all animals to be treated.  I love this.  Take a look.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HCtrtbdXkVw
