I thought you might enjoy this video, where you can see what weeks and weeks of careful work with this hyena achieved. They worked on (among other things) building steady and very reliable duration where the animal voluntarily stays still, with neck pressed up against the fence, so the trainer can draw blood from what I assume is the jugular vein. Notice how the click signals the end of the "stay in position" behavior and releases the animal to receive his well deserved reward. This is just about a minute long.
