YOUR DOG'S NAME = ATTENTION

This is the training handout for "attention", meaning when you say your dog's name he stops what he's doing, turns and looks at your face. You have his attention. You should only have to say his name once! If you have to say it more than once you need more training on this, in a non-distracting environment, before you try to use it in a situation that has not been successful.  Feel free to read it through and let me know if you have any questions.  Make sure you're successful at one step before moving on to the next, and keep your training sessions very short.  You want lots of very short training sessions sprinkled throughout the day.

PS:  Stop using your dog's name in other situations.  Your dog's name is a CUE and where and how you use it will impact the strength of that cue, the reliability of your dog's response. Contact me if you have questions about this.
