 GETTING A BEHAVIOR TO HAPPEN SO WE CAN REWARD IT:  We have a number of methods to use in order to get our learner to do a behavior that we can reward.  This short video shows a trainer working with a horse but she does a great job of illustrating these, and it's allll the same stuff we apply to our dogs.  Notice how she is working in a quiet, non-distracting environment?  We don't work on new behaviors in a distracting environment.  The "bars" of distraction, duration and distance are all lowered to their easiest level when we are starting to work on a new behavior.  Check out this video, it's good stuff.   https://youtu.be/6TWdy8qdhU4?si=Siz9d7-PE5Lu0ZWJ
